Since 2017, Alexander Schäfer has been advising clients at FTI-Andersch on restructuring, turnaround, refinancing, and transformation processes.

His focus is on operational and financial restructuring. He prepares independent business reviews, develops pragmatic restructuring concepts, designs robust liquidity plans, and takes responsibility for cash management in challenging situations. In addition, he successfully brings together diverse stakeholders and has extensive experience in identifying, designing, and implementing operational, financial, and strategic measures to achieve sustainable turnaround and enhance competitiveness.

Another key focus of his work is advising on complex M&A transactions on both the sell-side and buy-side, with particular expertise in carve-outs.

Alexander Schäfer has broad cross-industry consulting experience. His sector focus includes automotive and manufacturing, the maritime sector, real estate, and retail. He primarily advises family-owned businesses and private equity investors.

Prior to joining FTI-Andersch, Alexander Schäfer studied International Management (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, as well as at American University in Washington, D.C., and the University of Florida, USA.

He is married.
