Data Solutions

Data analytics can be used to unlock corporate value, streamline processes and improve decisions – whereby a uniform database and reliable dashboards are indispensable.

Overview

Without a homogeneous database – the "single point of truth" – many data analytics projects are doomed to fail. However, this goal cannot be achieved at the push of a button. Source systems must be analysed, future reporting must be defined by guidelines, all data sources must be merged in a data warehouse and the data must be prepared for later reporting with the help of BI tools. In the end, a uniform database, fewer errors in data entry and a transparent presentation ensure better decision-making and planning processes in corporate management.

The latter depends in a special way on the corresponding dashboards. They should not only be technically reliable, but also offer various options for data visualisation and adapt to user needs and access rights. Ideally, the solution – for example, for the holistic analysis of working capital or active liquidity management – is developed in agile and iterative processes. This ensures a custom-fit technology that supports individual corporate management.

Questions for our team

What distinguishes the FTI-Andersch approach to establishing a uniform data landscape?

We think through the task from start to finish, because a resilient database is not an end in itself, but ideally helps with sustainable corporate management. However, this goal can only be achieved if, for example, no incorrect data is entered – consequently, reporting must also be defined very precisely, manual activities reduced and input simplified overall. Our approach to establishing a data warehouse can be described in a very similar way: The entire architecture is easy to handle, secure and includes all data sources.

How sustainable is working capital and liquidity management based on data analytics?

We proceed systematically and with great attention to detail. First, all relevant ERP systems from sales and purchasing are connected to the solution so that all individual documents and invoices are available - even if they come from heterogeneous data sources. Subsequently, FTI-Andersch's own developments are used to classify and enrich the data. The end result is a highly sustainable data analytics solution that provides information about liquidity and earnings potential. Incidentally, the technology can be ordered both as a complete package and in individual modules.

What other tools does FTI-Andersch offer?

We have a whole bundle of digital tools for optimising business processes – for example, data analytics for purchasing and customer processes. In this way, costs can be saved, market risks minimised, and suppliers managed. In many cases, this involves very specific issues, such as preventing customer churn and establishing an effective pricing strategy. In the end, it is important to bring these measures in line with the tasks of the company. Our data analytics consultants are ready to help.
